It is with great regret that we must announce that there will be no Sculpture in Context exhibition in 2024.

Exhibit With Us

Sculpture in Context is a pivotal event in the Irish arts calendar and is the longest running, largest and most important sculpture exhibition in Ireland. The annual exhibition attracts a large public and critical audience and is the cultural highlight of the National Botanic Gardens calendar. With strong sales annually, Sculpture in Context is a key event in the art calendar for both public and private buyers of all levels.

The opening night is one of the most popular and well attended art launches in Dublin and over the six weeks of the exhibition, in excess of 100,000 people will visit the exhibition.

The 50 acres of landscaped gardens give an unrivalled opportunity to show art beyond the gallery walls and in a natural context, selected artists have the opportunity to exhibit their work in this wonderful location.

Open to artists of all levels and working in three dimensions in any medium, proposals may be durable or time-based artworks, including performance or video. Entrance is by open submission and selection is made by an independent panel of judges. Further information about submissions and details of commission rates can be found in FAQ and in our conditions of entry. A sculpture map accompanies the full colour catalogue which is produced annually.

Exhibiting artists are eligible for several awards including The Goodbody Sculpture Awards, The CARO Environmental Sustainability Award, McKeon Stone Awards, The MillCove Gallery Award, The Bronze Art Award , Zozimus Gallery Purchase Award.
